Port Stanley, Falkland Islands

Since 1842, Port Stanley has been the capital of the Falkland Islands, a British territory. The Port Stanley area is known for its abundant wildlife.  The Islands are home to abundant Sub-Antarctic wildlife including black browed albatross, colonies of elephant seals and sea lions, and an opportunity to spot dolphins and whales off shore.

Being locked out of the Penguin Tour, we ambled about town, visiting the Christ Church Catehdral (1 - 4), the war memorials (1 - 9), the museum, (1, 2) and sights of the town and the infamous "Gnome Home"  (Malori, I'm STILL not going back up that hill)

To match the windy cold weather, we had a pleasant lunch at an English pub (The Globe Tavern).  Shepherd Pie and warm beer.  Yum!  And of course, what's a day without retail therapy!

That night, we had a group sing along, followed by dinner (must have been Bill's "birthday" tonight), and a great show by a juggler/comedian, Edge (1 - 3)
